Sensotronic nominated for Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany 2009

Sensotronic, an electronically controlled drawer slide system, has been nominated for the Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany 2009, the country´s highest distinction in the field of design. The prize is offered by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology and organised by the German Design Council.

The Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany is often called the “prize of prizes” among design awards, since no other design awards sets such strict entry criteria. Thus a company can only enter the competition for the Design Award if its product has already been awarded a national or international design prize. Companies cannot enter for the Design Award, they are nominated by the Ministries and Senators for Trade and Industry of the German States or by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology.

KÜSTER and its development partner, the Austrian furniture manufacturer Grass, are very proud of the nomination and are excitedly awaiting the announcement of the winners of the Gold and Silver Awards of the Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany 2009, which will be exclusively published in Manager Magazine at the end of October 2008.
