Sensotronic succeeds in RedDot Design AwardAfter having received the if M Technology award, the Sensotronic, an electronically controlled drawer slide system, initiated by KÜSTER and developed together with the Austrian furniture manufacturer Grass, has succeeded in one of the most renowned and hardest international design competitions worldwide with its outstanding and innovative concept/design.
In the RedDot Award: product design competition 2008 the Sensotronic has been awarded the “red dot” quality seal for high design quality by the top-class expert jury. This award is only conferred to outstandingly creative, innovative and high-quality products.
In total 3,203 products from 51 nations have faced the expert judgement this year. The festive awards presentation with more than 1,000 guests will take place at the Aalto Theatre, the Essen Opera House, on June 23rd, 2008.
Products submitted to the red dot design award are assessed by an international jury of renowned design experts. They examine and test the products and assess them according to criteria such as degree of innovation, functionality, ergonomics, longevity, ecological compatibility and clarity of function.
Today, the RedDot Design Award, the origins of which go back to 1955, is one of the largest and most renowned design competitions worldwide. Thus the Sensotronic has succeeded in two of the most important product design awards within a very short period of time. Product acceptance and market penetration will probably be significantly improved by these awards.
