Sensotronic wins iF M TECHNOLOGY AWARD 2008

Sensotronic, an electronically controlled drawer slide system, the first non-automotive product initiated by KÜSTER and developed together with the Austrian furniture manufacturer Grass, immediately receives an IF award.

The M TECHNOLOGY AWARD, organised by iF International Forum Design GmbH, is a design and innovation competition assessing manufacturers, designers, architects, developers and design engineers from the furniture and furniture supply industry. The product award - the IF label - is valid for the whole life cycle.

Sensotronic has received the M Technology Award in silver. The top-class jury explained the decision for Sensotronic with the following comment: “A wonderfully sensuous-monolithic block that stands out by the way it is used. After all, ease of use is clearly an important criterion in furniture design.”

The jury of highly qualified experts thoroughly discussed the quality of design and the degree of innovation of the products submitted. Along with this prize SENSOTRONIC was honoured as winner of the day by the a-lounge, a prize in which the presented products are evaluated by architects.

KÜSTER Automotive Door Systems GmbH is an operating subsidiary of KÜSTER Holding GmbH. The KÜSTER-Group with headquarters in Ehringshausen near Wetzlar is a family-owned medium-sized company with a successful business tradition of more than 80 years.
