Küster has established a new location in Hermosillo, Mexico which includes the production of gearshift systems.
Driven by growing demand for Küster´s gearshift technologies in North America, the company is expanding its global capacity. The new production assembly line will support production of automatic gearshift systems for cars being launched in 2018.
Küster has received a major order for window regulator drives with electronics from a European automotive manufacturer.
As a result, Küster continues to expand its position in this market. Production is scheduled to start in Ehringshausen in 2017.

In 1926 Wilhelm Küster along with his brothers Fritz and Heinrich started up manufacturing a wire braiding and wire sack sealing machine.

KÜSTER has been awarded a series of contracts for the supply of window regulators to a leading German car manufacturer.
This contract is to supply one million units extending right through to 2024. European production is scheduled to start this year at our Bratislava plant.
Küster is expanding its electronics manufacturing capacity at the Ehringshausen site.
In the future, thanks to the second SMD placement line and the second ICT testing line, we will be able to manufacture electronics for up to eight million drive mechanisms per year.
This capacity expansion will also be supported by the installation of the third assembly and testing line for drives.
50 years ago, the first KÜSTER window regulator was in the VW Beetle 1200. This went into series production and laid the foundation for a great success story.
In 1978 KÜSTER started the serial production of the first electric cable window regulator in the Audi 80. Thus KÜSTER contributed decisively to the growing need for more comfort in vehicles.
In 1995 KÜSTER presented the first electronic control system for the VW Polo and paved the way for the entry into the world of mechatronics. Today electromechanical products account for nearly 70% of KÜSTER revenues.
